What type of photos would you like?

I completely understand that this might be your first experience with a Photographer. Perhaps you're unsure of what you would like. Here is a breakdown of the different types of portrait photography I provide services for!

Studio photography is 100% posed. I bring my portable studio to you! You choose the backdrop(s), lighting is strategically placed on you, my camera is on a tripod in a fixed location, and I will guide you in how to stand, where to sit, what to do. (And your ideas are always welcome!) This is great for head shots, senior photography, church events like Mother's Day service, etc. I will be there an extra half hour ahead of time to set up.

Outdoor Photography is a mix of posed and in-the-moment. (It's also my favorite!) I might ask you to have intimate moments, walk away from me holding hands, laugh at each other, laugh at me. I will direct you in what to do as I get to know you during our session. I like to start out easy, make some truly terrible jokes, and once we're all comfortable, then I might ask for dips, jumps, skips, spins, anything and everything to get those real smiles and make sure you're comfortable and trust me. Catching connections is what I love most about portraiture!
